Kundalini Yoga Therapy

Feel the Shift in Your Nervous System, Not Just Your Thoughts

Three Keys to Unlock a Calmer Brain

Breath, Movement, Mantra

Kundalini is a trauma‑informed practice that combines rhythmic breathing, targeted movement, and sound vibration to regulate the vagus nerve, quiet craving cycles, and put your body back on your side. No clichés—just science‑backed exercises you can feel working in minutes.

What is Kundalini?

Kundalini is a practice of awareness and awakening. It combines movements, called ‘kriyas’, pranayama breathwork, meditation, and mantra chanting to mobilize our energy from the ‘root chakra’ upward through the energy system.

Kundalini is designed to support layers of our being, including:
heightening our awareness and presence
expanding our nervous system
strengthening our physical and energetic body
Aligning us to our higher self and innate truths
Building emotional resilience
Assisting with energetic and spiritual hygiene
Enhancing access to our energetic reserves to sustain vitality and mental clarity
Opening our heart center - so we may serve our community, our families and ourselves with more compassion, consciousness, and sense of purpose

Why I Trust Kundalini With My Clients’ Recovery

Kundalini is a beautiful companion to therapy.

There are intense energetic and emotional imbalances, such as hypervigilance, agitation, rage, grief, despair, that most of us have experienced, and many experience after relational trauma, or an intense traumatic event. This emotional and psychic energy needs a place to be safely experienced and expelled.

Kundalini can offer this space where talk therapy cannot

  • Real‑time regulation: GABA‑boosting breath patterns lower anxiety faster than white‑knuckling ever could.

  • Body‑led insight: Movement reveals emotional data the mind alone can’t access.

  • Lasting change: Repetition wires new neural pathways, so resilience sticks between sessions.

meet rachel

I am a trauma-informed practitioner, honoring the wisdom, strength and inner guidance system that I trust resides in us all.

I place personal growth, self-inquiry and transformation above any dogmatic teachings or rigid structure.

I believe our healing and growth are only possible to the extent that we take personal responsibility in our lives. When we practice radical accountability for how we show up in the world, we may see powerful and meaningful shifts take place. It is the path that leads to reclamation of our higher self and personal freedom. Therefore, I do not subscribe to a culture where we externalize authority to a ‘guru’ or any individual. The power is within. We work to develop an energetically strong vessel that can hold the power with integrity, and channel it back in service for the greater whole.

Personally, Kundalini was a vital part of healing for me, - a practice I never knew I needed until I did it. The benefits were undeniable. I felt more connected to and safer within my body, and relieved to have found ritual and practice where I knew I would feel the medicine of the yoga immediately.
